Important instructions for the class:

  • Please be on time for each class. Attend all classes in a given session.
  • Each class is build on top of the previous classes and hence missing one class may affect your learning of new asanas.
  • Bring yoga mat and a towel.
  • Wear comfortable clothing - exercise pants and shirts are ideal
  • It is best to arrive 15 minutes prior to class to ensure you have a space. Sign-up with the instructor.
  • Turn off your cell phone, pager
  • It is advisable to do the postures on an empty stomach. Do not eat a meal upto 2 or 3 hours prior to the class. You can eat after the class.
  • Do not drink water during the class
  • Do not wipe the sweat off or take bath immediately, wait for at least 30 minutes
  • Take shower before the class.
  • Bare feet are recommended for all the yoga postures
  • Let the teacher know in advance if you need to leave early or will be absent for a session.
  • Do not enter the class after Suryanamaskar is over in case you are late.
  • Inform the teacher about any injuries and illness.
  • Consult a doctor before starting on the yoga class
