A beginner's class lasts for 50-60 minutes and the asanas are introduced progressively in each class. A typical beginner's class would include:

  • 3-6 rounds of Sun Salutations, Relaxation
  • Single leg raises, Relaxation
  • Double leg raises, Relaxation
  • Sarvanghasana (Shoulderstand)
  • Mathsyasana (Fish Pose)
  • Relaxation
  • Paschimothanasana (Seated Forward Bend), Relaxation
  • Bhujangasana (Cobra), Relaxation
  • Dhanurasana (Bow), Relaxation
  • Padahasthasana (Standing Forward Bend), Relaxation
  • Vrikshasana (Tree Pose)
  • Trikonasana (Triangle Pose)
  • Final Relaxation
